# Motion feedback pass

## Selected adjustments

- Ganoes's approved tiptoe geometry remains unchanged; only his hair colour is darker.
- Commander and Fiddler use upright north idle while watching the city. Their obsolete lean poses are retained as history, not selected.
- North boots use darker heel/sole lighting rather than rounded front toe highlights. This is a minor native-pixel adjustment, not a redesigned leg.
- Surly's opposite front/back half-cycle now exchanges hands and lower robe/leg support; her head, neck, chest wrap and belt remain fixed. This corrects the repeated leading-leg export.
- Fiddler's new north/south run uses complete generated head/neck/body drawings. North has raised soles and more folded-leg motion; south has larger movement in both arms. Existing east/west runs remain. Aseprite corrects the repeated south contact's lower legs without touching the fiddle or head.

## Proportion study

The first six-column replacement sheets repeat too many contact poses. They are not selected.

A focused Surly four-key-per-direction pilot is provided at native54px height and in looping previews. It has a more natural, smaller-headed body, but the side contacts/passing-leg depth still need refinement. It is a pilot, not approval to mix body families. The production cast retains its existing overall scale until a replacement family is ready.

Fiddler's side-walk repair is selected: new wide contacts and narrow passing poses, opposite west arm swing, and opposite east leg depth. Four drawings form eight timed weight phases. It was developed independently in the existing proportion family. Compare all four directions, transitions to idle and equipment stability before judging it complete.

## Reproduction

`tools/prepare_motion_feedback.py` exports saved generated directions and native contact fixes through Aseprite. `content/walk_contact_repairs.json` records original sources. Source masters, exact prompts and slicing rectangles are retained in `art/source/`. The contact cleanup never changes head/neck proportions.

`scenes/motion_feedback_review.tscn` renders Surly current/pilot and Fiddler previous/revised runs. This is a visual review scene, not an automated test.
